Environmentally Preferable Product Downstream Program certification Powers™ has earned an Environmentally Preferable Product (EPP) Downstream Program certification by the Composite Panel Association (CPA), a national organization.

The specific certification is the EPP Environmentally Preferable Product Downstream Program. Up to 80% of our wood purchases are 100% recycled or recovered wood fiber meeting the CPA EPPS 2-06 certification.

Below is a brief outline of the program:

  • To qualify for certification 50% of purchases must be downstream particle board and MDF meeting the CPA EPPS 2-06 certification.
  • This certification requires 100% recycled or recovered wood fiber.
  • Product must have lower than 0.2 ppm participant testing formaldehyde emissions.
  • Monthly audits are required to verify recycled content, formaldehyde emissions, and adherence to QC procedures that meet ASTM protocol.
  • Requires quarterly submission of samples for large chamber testing by an accredited third party.
